Overview
Overview
The CyberPower maintenance bypass cabinet, MBC45ITCT, is a 45kW step-down transformer that converts 600V or 480V 3phase input voltage to 208V 3phase output. For use with either the CyberPower SM020KAMFA 20kVA 208V 3phase system or the SM040KAMFA 40kVA 208V 3phase system. It integrates an isolation step-down transformer and a maintenance bypass switching assembly in a single enclosure.
For site utility compatibility, the MBC provides exclusive input selection: 480 V (3‑Phase, 3‑Wire) or 600 V (3‑Phase, 3‑Wire). Only one input interface shall be used for a given installation; concurrent connection and/or use of both input interfaces is prohibited.
The MBC45ITCT is installed as part of the UPS power system to support maintenance bypass operation. In the normal power path, the MBC is supplied from the UPS output and provides a 120/208 V (3‑Phase, 4‑Wire) output interface via the internal busbars for connection to customer‑provided downstream distribution equipment (e.g., a distribution panelboard).
Dual Voltage Input
Provides dedicated input interfaces for 480V (3‑Phase, 3‑Wire) or 600V (3‑Phase, 3‑Wire) utility systems. Only one input source shall be connected and used for a given installation; concurrent connection and/or use of both input interfaces is prohibited. The internal isolation transformer provides a 120/208V (3‑Phase, 4‑Wire) output via the internal busbars for downstream distribution.
Integrated Maintenance Bypass
Includes a built-in bypass switch to electrically isolate the UPS for scheduled maintenance or module replacement while supporting continuity of power delivery to the connected load when operated in accordance with the specified procedures.
Safety Signal Interlock
The bypass switch incorporates a protective guard with an integrated microswitch. Removing the guard initiates a control signal to the UPS to transfer to static bypass prior to manual switch actuation, helping align system operating state and reduce the risk of improper transfer.
Vertical Stacked Configuration
Designed as a base cabinet to support a vertical stacked configuration, with the SM Series UPS mounted directly on top to form a consolidated, single‑tower installation.
Thermal Management and Protection
Provides active cooling using three internal fans and thermal sensing for over‑temperature protection. An initial over‑temperature condition can generate an alarm via the optional network interface and ambient sensor; if temperature exceeds the protection threshold, the system may initiate a protective trip to prevent hardware damage.
